Open Enrollment Registration & Cancelation Policies

Open Enrollment Registration

Students can register by phone, mail, online, or in person. Pre-registration is required for all open enrollment classes. To see the full list of classes, go to eicc.edu/ce- View All Courses. Contract training classes are not included in the public listing.

Open Enrollment Cancelation Policies

Open enrollment courses will be canceled if there are not enough students enrolled. The program manager will make the decision to cancel or run the class; generally, three business days prior to the class.

Holidays may affect the cut-off.

Missed and Make-Up Classes

If you can’t teach a class, contact your program manager immediately to identify a make-up date or arrange for a substitute. The CE department will call each registered student.

Our goal is never to have students show up for a class that has moved or been postponed. Posting a sign on the classroom door is not an acceptable method of notifying students of a schedule change.

Inclement Weather

If the weather is hazardous and you do not feel comfortable driving, you must notify your program manager immediately. EICC’s Chancellor or designee determines when to cancel or delay classes. If there is doubt about holding class or you decide to postpone your class, contact your program manager or administrative staff.

Student Cancelations

A student may cancel their registration up to three calendar days before the class starts without incurring a fee or cancellation charge. Students must call the CE registration office at 563-441-4100 to cancel and receive a refund.

Students who fail to attend court-mandated classes will be marked as Not Passed and required to pay a $25 transfer fee to reschedule . Any concerns regarding cancellation should be directed to the program manager or appropriate administrative staff.
