Payroll and Other Policies


Timecards and Payroll 

You will be issued an EICC email address and access to EICC Connect. Please activate your account and spend a few minutes becoming familiar with Connect. EICC has a two-step authentication process, and you must provide your cellphone number to access Connect.  

After your class, please record your time on your electronic timecard. HR will provide more information about payroll during your orientation. 

Please use your EICC login when using EICC devices for classes.  

CE Instructor Annual Trainings 

EICC may require you to complete annual training through Safe Colleges. Trainings include: 

  • Discrimination Awareness in the Workplace, 22 minutes, Release date: January
  • Americans with Disabilities Act Overview, 33 minutes, Release date: January 
  • Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, 35 minutes, Release date: February 
  • Title IX and Sexual Harassment Prevention for Employees, 28 minutes, Release date: February 
  • FERPA: Confidentiality of Records, 20 minutes, Release date: March 
  • Recognizing & Responding to Students in Distress, 19 minutes, Release date: April  
  • Sexual Harassment: Policy and Prevention, 73 minutes, Release date: May 
  • Freedom of Speech, 15 minutes, Release date: August 
  • Hazing Awareness and Prevention, 51 minutes, Release date: September 
  • Clery Act Overview, 41 minutes, Release date: October 
  • Child Abuse: Mandatory Reporting, 27 minutes, Release date: November 
  • Active Shooter: Run, Hide, Fight, 14 minutes, Release date: December 

Possible Additional/Updated Trainings: 

  • Conflicts of Interest, 25 minutes 

  • Building Supportive Communities: Cleary Act & Title IX - Updated , 60 minutes 

  • Accommodating People with Disabilities,  45 minutes 

  • Fostering Community for Faculty & Staff & Follow Up, 24 minutes 

Trainings may be subject to change based on availability in Safe Colleges and/or changes in state or federal requirements.  

Training is determined and added to your Safe Colleges dashboard by EICC’s HR Department. You will be notified of required trainings by email. You will be paid for all required trainings; record your time on your electronic timesheet.  

Travel Reimbursement 

EICC will pay mileage necessitated by assignment to more than one center at the rate approved by the Chancellor. The mileage is based on the total miles traveled by non-district vehicles on assignment(s), less than the number of miles from employee’s residence to and from the center of principle assignment/home location. 

Claims must be submitted within 30 days after the trip, on the appropriate travel expense report. The expense must be personally certified by the claimant and approved by the appropriate supervisor.
