Academic Load

The VA pays based on academic load.*

The following shows the relationship between semester hours and academic load in a normal full semester:

The Vertical Column shows the credit hours, and the horizontal column shows the number of weeks for the course. To see if you are full-time, match up the number of weeks for the course and how many hours you are registered for to see if you are full-time. The percentage denotes the percentage you will receive from your GI BILL®.

Note: Ch.33 Post 9/11-student must be enrolled greater than half-time to receive any housing.
