Academic Load

The VA pays based on academic load. * The following shows the relationship between semester hours and academic load in a normal full semester:

Academic Load chart, click for chart informationThe Vertical Column shows the credit hours, the horizontal shows the number of weeks for the course. To see if you are full time, match up the number of weeks for the course and how many hours you are registered for to see if you are full time. The percentage denotes the percentage you will receive from your GI BILL®.

Note: Ch.33 Post 9/11-student must be enrolled greater than half time to receive any housing.
