CAD 147 - Parametric Solid Modeling III Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will focus on more specific uses of modeling with respect to manufacturing. Topics covered will include sheet metal, surfacing, mold making and weldments. Model Based Definition will be covered giving students the opportunity to work with manufacturing.
Prerequisite(s): CAD 140 , CAD 141 , and CAD 203 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create sheet metal parts for manufacture.
- Develop basic and complex surfaces on models.
- Model basic molds for additive manufacturing (AM).
- Develop weldments.
- Apply Model Based Definition tools to models.
- Create three-dimensional (3D) portable document format (PDFs).
