CAD 140 - Parametric Solid Modeling I Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course introduces students to parametric solid modeling. Students will become familiar with the basic editing window and menu/toolbar layout. This course will build a solid foundation in the following areas: sketching, extrusions, feature construction, and sketch tools. Best modeling practices will be the emphasis for the course. Application projects will mimic true industry projects.
Recommended and Non-Course Requisites: MFG 371 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create feature based solid models.
- Analyze parts for accuracy.
- Analyze features for accuracy.
- Apply the rules of associativity.
