MFG 370 - Advanced G and M Code Credit(s) 2.00 Lecture Hours: 1.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will introduce students to advance CNC programming techniques for mills and lathes. These programming techniques include canned cycles and sub-routines.
Prerequisite(s): MFG 201 and MFG 221 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Use programming techniques to move the work offset during program execution for CNC Mills and Lathes.

Apply subprograms and subroutines to organize program functions and automate repetitive tasks.

Use programming techniques to write programs for canned cycles, sub-programming, documentation, coordinate position sheet, and set up sheet.

Demonstrate how to program, set up, and run the following programs: face program, circle program, drill and tap program, turning program, and bore program on CNC Mills and Lathes.
