This course will introduce students to advance CNC programming techniques for mills and lathes. These programming techniques include canned cycles and sub-routines.  

Prerequisite(s): MFG 201  and MFG 221  
SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Use programming techniques to move the work offset during program execution for CNC Mills and Lathes.

  • Apply subprograms and subroutines to organize program functions and automate repetitive tasks.

  • Use programming techniques to write programs for canned cycles, sub-programming, documentation, coordinate position sheet, and set up sheet.

  • Demonstrate how to program, set up, and run the following programs: face program, circle program, drill and tap program, turning program, and bore program on CNC Mills and Lathes.
