College Information

At Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC), we know that education changes lives and builds communities. That’s why we’ve focused on delivering high-quality, in-demand academic programs and training opportunities since 1965. The heart of our mission is to educate a skilled workforce, prepare students to successfully transfer to four-year schools, enrich the community through lifelong learning, and be a sound financial steward of public dollars.

EICC offers more than 30 Career and Technical Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees, programs that allow you to enter directly into the workforce or to transfer and continue your education. Take classes at any of our three campuses - Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott - or at any of the 15 additional EICC facilities located within the six counties we serve.

EICC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The designation means our programs meet or exceed the standards for academic excellence set for every public and private college in a 19-state region. The district is approved by the Iowa Department of Education and the Board of Regents. Individual programs are accredited by associations within their respective fields.

EICC Student Services and Resources

Building a friendly, supportive, and well-connected community for students is our top priority. We have academic support services to help you thrive in your courses, and personal support systems that can help you manage your mental health and well-being.

Advising

Make an appointment with your academic advisor. They’ll partner with you to create a degree plan and keep you on track through graduation or university transfer. They can also help with educational decisions, exploring a major or pathway, adjusting to college, and navigating the steps to a new career.

Appointments are encouraged, but not required.

The EICC Bookstore - Flat Rate Access Program can provide all of your textbooks, lab manuals, and more, before the first day of each semester. Students also have the option of purchasing via the bookstore website through a traditional “student choice” option as well.

Disability Services

We believe all students have a right to higher education and the opportunity to succeed in our programs. EICC is committed to making services, programs, and activities accessible for all students with disabilities. College policy calls for reasonable accommodation for otherwise qualified students with disabilities on an individualized basis. The student is responsible for seeking available assistance at the college.

To make your needs known, contact the Disability Service Provider (DSP) on your campus as soon as possible upon class registration. Complete an intake form and provide documentation of disability.

DSPs advocate for accessibility of programs. If you qualify, they’ll work with you to develop reasonable accommodation to reduce barriers.
