This course will introduce students to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) milling centers in the manufacturing setting. Various projects will strengthen the student’s proper use and troubleshooting of this equipment.

Prerequisite(s):

MFG 106

and MFG 371 or with Instructor permission

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate the power-up of a CNC machine.
Demonstrate how to move all axes to the home position.
Identify part zero and tool offsets.
Demonstrate loading and unloading of proper tools.
Demonstrate loading, storing, and activating part programs.
