This course introduces students to the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. Students successfully completing this course will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry card.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Recognize the importance of OSHA in regulating employee safety in the workplace.
Summarize employees’ rights and employers’ responsibilities.
Recognize various manufacturing processes, tasks, and equipment
Identify basic and health hazards present in the workplace.
Implement respective corrective actions.
