MFG 106 - Workplace Safety Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course introduces students to the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. Students successfully completing this course will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry card.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Recognize the importance of OSHA in regulating employee safety in the workplace.
- Summarize employees’ rights and employers’ responsibilities.
- Recognize various manufacturing processes, tasks, and equipment
- Identify basic and health hazards present in the workplace.
- Implement respective corrective actions.
