ACC 312 - Computer Accounting Credit(s) 4.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course is designed to develop accounting and problem solving skills on microcomputers. Students will complete the accounting cycle through financial statement preparation using integrated accounting software packages. Use of electronic spreadsheet capabilities will be explored.
Prerequisite(s): ACC 146 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: -
The student will understand the basic concepts of an integrated accounting system.

In addition the student will be able to set up and work with the individual systems including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, depreciation, inventory, and payroll.

The student will also acquire the competency to build accounting spreadsheets from sets of data, generate reports, convert data to graphs, and use the data for analyzing and decision-making.
