AGC 865 - Farm Experience IV Credit(s) 1.00 - 4.00 Co-op Hours: 4.00 - 16.00
Through this course students gain practical farm experience over a six week period at an approved employment center. Employment centers are approved and coordinated by a faculty member. Instructors work with students in selecting an employment center. Students receive pay as negotiated during an employment interview.
Prerequisite(s): AGC 864 or consent of instructor SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Develop an understanding and an appreciation of the environmental, physical and financial requirements and workings of a production agribusiness.

Develop an understanding of various production enterprises and gain a high level of expertise in selected enterprises.

Prepare physically, financially, emotionally, and intellectually to enter a career in production agribusiness.

Demonstrate career building based upon comparing this course to the previous courses AGC:862 and AGC.
