AGC 864 - Farm Experience III

Through this course students gain practical farm experience over a six week period at an approved employment center. Employment centers are approved and coordinated by a faculty member. Instructors work with students in selecting an employment center. Students receive pay as negotiated during an employment interview.

Prerequisite(s): AGC 862  or consent of instructor
SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Develop an understanding and an appreciation of the environmental, physical and financial requirements and workings of a production agribusiness.

  • Develop an understanding of various production enterprises and gain a high level of expertise in selected enterprises.

  • Prepare physically, financially, emotionally, and intellectually to enter a career in production agribusiness.

  • Demonstrate career building based upon comparing this course to the previous course AGC-862.
