The 17-credit Game and Simulation Development certificate equips students with essential skills for creating applications for the PC platform. Students will delve into game design principles, simulation development, and training applications while enhancing their industry knowledge. The curriculum offers hands-on experience in programming, game engine development, 3D modeling, animation, texture creation, and level design. Additionally, students will gain insights into the production pipeline, user experience design, and project management. By the end of the certificate, students will have developed a comprehensive skill set, preparing them for successful careers in the gaming and simulation industries.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Design engaging games and simulations for PC and XR (extended reality) platforms.
- Develop applications that leverage programming skills and game engines to create immersive experiences.
- Create high-quality 3D models and animations, emphasizing both visual appeal and performance.
- Analyze user feedback to enhance game and simulation designs.
- Evaluate project management processes to collaborate effectively in a team and ensure timely project completion.
