Automation and Robotics, Diploma

Campus: Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott Community Colleges

This program prepares students for an entry-level position with Automation and Robotics in the industrial field. 

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program in Automation and Robotics, Diploma students will be able to:

  • Exhibit safe working practices in laboratory and industrial environments.
  • Properly use tools and electrical test equipment to verify correct installation and operation of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identify faulty components and sub-systems in order to return apparatus to proper operation.
  • Interpret technical documents to aid in the installation and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Effectively communicate technical information in oral and written formats common in industry.
  • Demonstrate time management and reliability traits that will enhance performance in the workplace.
