This course will provide students with requirements and expectations required to work in the numerous facets of the construction industry. The course will introduce the national OSHA safety standards for General Construction, and upon their successful completion of this course, will receive the OSHA 10-Hour General Construction certification.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Develop an understanding of safety procedures and practices through OSHA 10 training and workplace safety assessments and specific construction applications.
Identify hazards in both job and shop sites.
Select and use the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for the job application.
