ELT 128 - PLC Programming and Control I Credit(s) 2.00 Lecture Hours: 1.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course provides an introduction to various programmatic control schemes, basic sequential control, and basic system integration. Concepts are explored and emphasized through lecture, reading, and hands-on labs.
Prerequisite(s): and SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the four major components of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
- Explain the operation of input and output modules.
- Demonstrate the conversion from one numbering system to another.
- Change relay ladder diagrams to PLC Ladder Logic programs.
- Develop Ladder Logic programs using timer, counter, and program control instructions.
