DSL 339 - Diesel Engine Repair Credit(s) 6.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 Lab Hours: 6.00 This course acquaints the student with the modern diesel engine used in transportation and automotive industries. The course is divided into five sections. In each section operation, overhaul and adjustments will be thoroughly covered for the diesel engine used in the transportation and automotive diesel engine industry. Labs correlate with lectures to provide the student with practical hands-on experiences.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Disassemble an engine and its components.
- Inspect and evaluate each part.
- Reassemble the engine.
- Perform an engine preventative maintenance inspection.
