This course provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings through hands-on learning experiences. Students will engage in observations in professional environments aligned with their career and academic goals. The amount of observation hours are determined by the transfer institution. Practicum sites are approved by the college, and faculty members provide oversight and guidance throughout the experience. In addition to the practical component, students will complete academic assignments designed to integrate and reflect upon their field work, fostering a deeper understanding of how theory is applied in practice.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 or consent of instructor.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate competence in meeting the performance standards required by the practicum supervisor.
Demonstrate punctuality and attention to detail by completing all reports, documentation, and evaluations required by the college and/or the practicum site accurately and on time.
