SER 102 - History of Power Generation Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course provides a comprehensive history of power production. The course will cover the progressions of power generation from the earliest forms of power such as fire, wind and water to the modern power generation techniques. Also covered will be historical sidelines to alternative power. This course will utilize a lab component to reinforce the fundamentals of each power generation technology.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Identify major historical power generation systems.

Examine the elements of a power generation systems and the major functional areas of Renewable Energy.
