SDV 108 - The College Experience Credit(s) 1.00 Lecture Hours: 1.00 This course will assist all new college students to acquire essential skills needed for academic success. The topics covered are campus resources, classroom strategies, library skills, computer resources, and student responsibilities.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply effective study techniques in the areas of time management strategies and note-taking methods to improve academic performance.
- Demonstrate the ability to locate and utilize campus and online support services to support their personal and academic success.
- Create an actionable plan for short term and long term academic, career, and personal goals.
- Describe how values, strengths, and areas for improvement influence the college experience and individual plan.
