PHY 185 - Conceptual Physics Fundamentals I Credit(s) 2.00 Lecture Hours: 0.75 Lab Hours: 2.50 This course is designed to provide the student with a fundamental knowledge of the rules of nature as they pertain to atoms, equilibrium, motion, energy, gravity and fluid mechanics. Emphasis is placed on the methods of understanding and investigating nature with the scientific method.
Prerequisite(s): MAT 706 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of matter, energy and space.

Apply laws of static and dynamic mechanics of matter.

Define and apply concepts of fluid mechanics.
