MFG 505 - Lean Manufacturing Credit(s) 1.00 Lecture Hours: 1.00 This course covers the principles and techniques of lean manufacturing, which include implementing lean manufacturing and methods of eliminating waste. Upon completion of a final project, students will learn the impact of eliminating waste on the real-world environment.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe integral lean thinking principles.
- Describe methods of implementing lean principles.
- Apply knowledge to a real world work environment.
- Integrate workplace skills to include critical thinking, integrative application, systems thinking, and communication.
