This course will continue to develop the skills learned in Transliteration I. Emphasis will be placed on speed, conceptual accuracy, and skill within English-based sign systems. This class will focus on the professional skills necessary in educational interpreting situations.

Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C- in ITP 230

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Develop knowledge of the role of an educational interpreter.
Develop knowledge of ethical practices in educational settings.
Develop proficiency in transliterating mock situations with complex sentence structure at an increased pace.
Develop knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate educational interpreting.
