IND 143 - Motors and Drives Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of industrial motor control and power electronics. The topics covered include alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) motors, thyristors, variable frequency drives, DC motor control and power distribution. Laboratory assignments help to illustrate the subjects discussed in the classroom.
Prerequisite(s): ELE 217 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
