HIS 224 - Nazi Germany Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course is a survey of the origins and development of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP), the foreign policies of Adolph Hitler which led to WW II, and the implementation of the Holocaust.
Recommended and Non-Course Requisites: SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Examine the socio-political conditions in post-World War I Germany and the rise of the Nazi Party.
- Analyze how the Nazi Party consolidated power and the events that helped.
- Explore the Nazi Party policies and propaganda that shaped German society through education, culture, and public life.
- Describe key military events of World War II and the impact on European and global geopolitics.
- Evaluate the aftermath of Nazi Germany’s defeat and how the Nazi Party legacy continues to influence contemporary discussions on human rights, race, and society.
