HCR 308 - Refrigeration Fundamentals Credit(s) 5.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 Lab Hours: 4.00 This course is designed to provide students with the basics of refrigeration used by heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technicians. The topics covered in this course are geared toward residential central air-conditioning systems. This course is intended for those who are looking to obtain basic knowledge.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Explain the concepts of heat, temperature, and pressure.

Describe the four basic components that make up the vapor compression refrigeration cycle.

Explain the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws governing safe refrigerant handling and transport.
