HCR 260 - HVAC Trade Skills I

This course covers all types of tools pertaining to, but not restricted to, the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) profession. Included with the introduction of the student to the tool is the proper usage of these tools. The student will learn soldering and brazing, iron pipe cutting and threading, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) solvent welding, all fittings, drilling, sawing and cutting sheet metal.

Describe tools Instrumentation and equipment.
Identify common fasteners.
Describe mechanical methods for joining tubing and pipe sections.
