EGR 460 - PLTW - Civil Engineering and Architecture Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course provides an overview of civil engineering and architecture emphasizing the inter relationship of both fields. Students are presented with real world problems and are given the opportunity to apply knowledge to project planning, site planning, and building design using state-of the-art software.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Demonstrate an understanding of civil engineering and architecture history and roles of stakeholders in the design process.

Demonstrate the ability to create project planning documents including sketches, journals, specifications and working drawings.

Demonstrate an understanding of the project planning process including site planning, regulations and viability analysis.

Demonstrate the ability to use and document the design process and complete projects in the areas of site planning, architecture, structural design and final project proposal and presentation.
