ECE 169 - Art and Music Activities for Young Children Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of media suitable for use with the young child. Emphasis will be placed on personal involvement in creative activities including creative movement, music, art, and games that can be used with an integrated curriculum approach.
Prerequisite(s): ECE 103 and ECE 159 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Discover the role that music and movement has on child development.

Create opportunities for physical, social/emotional, and intellectual development through creative activities.

Develop an appreciation and enjoyment for creative expression.
