BUS 130 - Introduction to Entrepreneurship Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course is designed for the student interested in developing knowledge in the area of small business management and entrepreneurship. Emphasis is on the essential concepts and techniques related to the start up of a small firm.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Investigate new business opportunities and evaluate them in terms of potential success.

Explain how to establish a new business and identify the difficulties of getting started.

Identify specific target markets for products or services and develop plans to effectively reach those markets.

Explain how to successfully manage people and how to motivate them to support the new business.

Identify the financial requirements of starting a new business and the need for detailed financial record keeping and accounting systems.

Explain the concept of cash management and its effect on the operation of the business.
