AGB 305 - Agricultural Law Credit(s) 1.50 Lecture Hours: 1.50 This course is a study of torts, restrictions on the use and ownership of property, water rights, fence issues, employer-employee relationships, forms of business ownership and structure, leasing and renting, estate planning, and contract law as it relates to production agribusiness.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Identify how to mitigate risk from potential legal problems in production agribusiness.

Summarize the law of fencing and surface water.

Explain the rights and obligations of property ownership.

Evaluate assets during life and the passage of that property at death.

Choose the form of business ownership most suitable for the operation.
