AGA 336 - Forage Production

This course covers the cultivation and production of grass and legume forage. Topics include identification of forage species, variety selection, seeding, fertilization, control of weeds, insects and diseases, grazing, harvesting, and storage.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Identify common forages in the midwest.
Create a forage management plan which is economical and environmentally sustainable.
Identify the steps in producing high quality hay and silage.
