CRJ 233 - Probation, Parole, Community-Based Corrections Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course examines probation and parole practices related to community-based corrections programs throughout the United States. Emphasis is placed on community-based programs for offenders, administration and legal issues of the programs, trends in probation, parole and related community-based programs.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of probation, parole, and community-based corrections.
- Describe probation, parole, and community-based corrections in the United States.
- Explain adjudication in the United States.
