MGT 272 - Manufacturing Planning for the Supply Chain Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course provides students a thorough explanation of manufacturing planning and control. In addition, students will learn about the integration of manufacturing with the supply chain. This includes basic techniques and concepts that are commonly implemented in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
SLOs: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Define the integration of manufacturing with the supply chain.
- Summarize manufacturing planning and control’s role in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Analyze market requirements critical in the competitive manufacturing environment.
- Explain the impact of globalization in manufacturing.
- Evaluate the implications of companies competing with customers and suppliers while simultaneously trying to develop mutually beneficial relationships.
- Integrate improved communication skills into workplace practice.
