AGH 172 - Landscape Maintenance Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course is intended to give the student valuable information in the maintenance area of landscaping. Topics range from different types of plants for different areas in a landscape, plant maintenance, lawn care, winterization, pest control and safety issues.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate three pruning techniques.
- Identify desired pruning outcomes for shade trees, fruit trees, and woody shrubs.
- Identify common landscape pests.
- Demonstrate proper winterization techniques.
- Apply best safety practices to situations when risk of injury is heightened.
