This course is intended to give the student valuable information in the maintenance area of landscaping. Topics range from different types of plants for different areas in a landscape, plant maintenance, lawn care, winterization, pest control and safety issues.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate three pruning techniques.
Identify desired pruning outcomes for shade trees, fruit trees, and woody shrubs.
Identify common landscape pests.
Demonstrate proper winterization techniques.
Apply best safety practices to situations when risk of injury is heightened.
