HCM 291 - Cake Decorating

This course is designed to explain and demonstrate the techniques, equipment, and components required to produce a decorated cake. Students will practice decorating layered cakes and tiered cakes.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Produce a decorated cake.

  • Identify the different type of frostings and icings available to decorate cakes.

  • Use a variety of decorating mediums, including fondant and gum paste.

  • Produce a multi-tiered cake.
