CRJ 106 - Interviewing and Writing Strategies Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course is designed to introduce students to the style and function of writing and communicating in criminal justice reports. The importance of note-taking, basics of English grammar, accuracy and honesty, types of reports, types of forms, and narrative style are fundamental areas covered in this course.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 105 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Use proper English writing style to create written reports.
- Incorporate criminal justice jargon into written reports.
- Integrate information from different sources to create written reports.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of various report types in criminal justice.
