This course presents the basic concepts of Information Systems (IS) and computer literacy. The course incorporates theory as well as hands-on practice, which focuses on spreadsheets and database management systems (DBMS). This course satisfies a general education requirement in the Computer Skills Area.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Perform intermediate application skills in spreadsheet applications.
Perform intermediate application skills in DBMS applications.
Discuss information system concepts that include cloud-based computing and business strategies.
Demonstrate computer literacy using word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and DBMS applications and theories.
