PSY 236 - Psychology of Personality Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course provides an in-depth study of concepts related to personality development, description, assessment, and special problems. Emphasis is given to the fields of psychoanalytic, behavioral, self-actualization, and existentialism.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Define key terms, concepts, and issues relating to personality development throughout the lifespan.

Describe major influences on how we develop and maintain our personality.

Discuss the various ways in which personality is measured and evaluated.

Compare and contrast how the major theoretical perspectives contribute to the understanding of personality.

Evaluate the merits of design, methodology, and ethics in personality studies and surveys.
