NET 298 - Networking II Credit(s) 5.00 Lecture Hours: 4.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course describes the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students will integrate secure wireless local area networks (WLANs) into networks and learn to configure advanced functionality in routers and switches while maintaining security and reliability.
Prerequisite(s): NET 198 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Explain switching concepts, virtual local area network (VLANs), and InterVLAN routing.
- Identify redundant networks.
- Build available and reliable networks.
- Implement Secure WLANs.
- Discuss routing concepts and configurations.
