MUA 101 - Applied Voice Credit(s) 1.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course provides individual instruction in singing. It advances students from their present vocal ability to a higher and more proficient level. This course may be repeated for up to 6.00 credit hours.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Explain musical pitch, dynamic and rhythmic notation.
- Explain musical expression symbols.
- Identify compositional microstructures and macro compositional forms.
- Demonstrate vocal performance skills.
- Demonstrate stage presentation skills.
- Integrate pitch, dynamic, and rhythmic notation with technique.
- Interpret musical expression symbols in performance.
- Demonstrate mastery of varied musical styles.
- Prepare a public performance.
