MFG 192 - Blueprint Reading Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will cover introduction to engineering drawings, multi-view drawings, sectional views, dimensions and tolerances, and part feature specification.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Utilize the fundamentals of shape description to read multi-view drawings, section views, and auxiliary views as they include normal, inclined, and oblique surfaces.

Utilize part dimension to accurately determine size and location dimensions of features such as holes, slots, grooves, and bolt-hole circles.

Demonstrate how fundamentals of size description and annotations are used to interpret tolerance, machining specifications, and surface texture.

Apply the concepts of maximum and least material conditions by using a basic-hole system chart to determine allowance dimensions.
