HCM 212 - Industry Management

This course will expose students to theoretical concepts as well as practical applications to develop management skills related to the restaurant industry. This is a service-oriented course with emphasis on staff and guest relations.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Use a positive approach to effectively communicate and provide customer service.

  • Understand and use team building strategies as a means to develop employee relations.

  • Motivate and coach service employees in customer service.

  • Identify the essential customer service needs which must be addressed to be successful in the hospitality industry.
