GRD 463 - Photoshop Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will introduce students to the appropriate software for working with bitmap images. Image acquisition by scanning; manipulation for tonal, color correction, and image retouching; and image output to print and web formats as it applies to the Graphic Arts industry will be emphasized.
Prerequisite(s): MAT 053 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Demonstrate a level of comfort with the tools and techniques needed to create digital artwork.

Utilize skill levels while working with and managing bitmap images.

Adapt images to modify and correct color, contrast, resolution, and sharpness using the appropriate tools and skills.
