GRD 459 - Illustrator Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course introduces students to the tools and concepts used in designing and creating images using illustration software. Students will use illustration software to create common line art applications such as logos, charts and graphs, and more complex illustrations.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Apply critical skills needed for effective visual communication.

Create vector-based graphics using illustration software.

Develop strong visual solutions to problems and assignments.

Link the traditional concepts and practice of “drawing” as the illustrator’s fundamental tool with the commercial applications and ever-changing markets.

Take creative risks and develop a personal direction reflected in a portfolio of assignments and projects.
