GRA 173 - Typography Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course explores the fundamental principles of typography and their role in visual communication. Students will explore both the form and function of typography in design through lectures and demonstrations. Emphasis is placed on the history of type, anatomy of letter forms, and appropriate uses of type.
SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Express a basic understanding of the history of written communication.

Discuss the relationship and interplay between display type, body type, and graphic imagery.
