CRJ 141 - Criminal Investigation

This course is an introduction to the art of criminal investigation and case preparation. Topics include interrogation, gathering information and evidence, informants, homicide investigation, and fingerprinting and other selected evidence. 

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Distinguish the “how” and “why” of Criminal Investigation.

  • Analyze the role of the criminal justice system.

  • Critique the role of the investigator.

  • Assess the roles of the support people from the crime scene to the courtroom.
