CIS 353 - Database Models and Design Strategies Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will teach students to apply strategies and methodologies for database design, implementation and administration of local, remote and web-based database systems using industry and example-based studies and applications.
Prerequisite(s): CIS 185 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Discuss the database life cycle.

Create entity-relationship diagrams.

Demonstrate the use of Unified Modeling Language in creating class and activity diagrams.

Normalize a database.

Create conceptual database designs using Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
