CIS 196 - Oracle Database Programming with PL/SQL Credit(s) 5.00 Lecture Hours: 4.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course will introduce students to Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL), Oracle’s procedural extension language for SQL and the Oracle relational database. Students will explore the differences between SQL and PL/SQL, examine the characteristics of PL/SQL and learn how to use it to extend and automate SQL to administer the Oracle database. This course culminates with a project that challenges students to program, implement and demonstrate a database solution for a business or organization.
Prerequisite(s): CIS 186 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Differentiate between SQL and PL/SQL.
