BIO 173 - Human Anatomy and Physiology II Credit(s) 4.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 Lab Hours: 2.00 This course is the second course in a two semester sequence. The content includes study of the following organ systems or topics: cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, metabolism, urinary, and reproductive. This course may satisfy a general education requirement in the Natural Sciences Area.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 168 (grade of C or better) SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Develop a vocabulary of appropriate terminology related to anatomy and physiology.

Correlate anatomical structures and physiological functions with regard to the cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive body systems.

Examine the role of homeostatic control and the impact of feedback loops in physiological systems of the body.

Use critical thinking to evaluate scientific information to make informed decisions.
